Pineapple Salsa Recipe
For those who looking to prepare an easy, exciting party bite you need to try this pineapple salsa. This is a brightly colored salsa recipe that you will not forget.
Perhaps pineapple salsa might sound odd at first sight, but if you give it a second thought, you’ll find it yummy. It is a mix between sweet and sour, and sometimes it can even be spicy.
Ingredients:
- 3/4 Cup diced Pineapple
- 1/4 Cup Red onion
- 1/4 Cup Tomato
- 2 Tbs Cilantro
- 1/2 Lime
- Olive oil, drizzled
- Salt, as desired
- Pepper, as desired
- 1/8 Cup Jalapeño, if using
Warning: If following a FODMAP diet red onion cannot be added to the salsa
Instructions:
- Diced the pineapple, tomato, red onion, cilantro, and jalapeño (if using), and measure the quantities.
- In a medium serving bowl, combine the pineapple, tomato, onion, cilantro, and jalapeño (if using). Add the juice of half a lime, salt, pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil and stir to combine.
- Season to taste with additional lime juice and/or salt if it doesn’t taste amazing just yet.
- For best flavor, let the salsa rest for 10 minutes or longer before serving. It’s best served fresh but keeps well, chilled, for up to 3 days.
